Privacy

Email address. Only if you give it to us. The waitlist form is the one place we ask. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and your Google profile name from Google's OAuth response.

Install events. When you install a pet via our terminal CLI or MCP server, we record the pet slug, the install source (terminal or MCP), the version of the CLI, the timestamp, and an irreversibly hashed version of your IP address. We use this to count installs and to rate-limit abuse. We do not store your raw IP.

Page analytics. Vercel Analytics records anonymous pageviews, referrer, country, and device class. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no tracking across sites.

Error reports. Sentry captures error context when something breaks on our site, which may include the URL you were on and your browser version. No personal information is captured beyond what's in the error.

That's everything.

We don't use cookies for tracking. We don't sell data. We don't share data with advertisers. We don't run remarketing pixels. We don't track you across other sites. We don't combine our data with data from other sources to build a profile of you.

We use the following service providers to operate the site:

• Vercel — hosting and analytics
• Neon — Postgres database (waitlist, installs, accounts)
• Resend — transactional email
• Google — OAuth sign-in
• Sentry — error tracking
• Stripe — payments (only when you make a purchase, starting v1.1)

Each of these processes data on our behalf to deliver a specific function. We do not give them access to your data for any other purpose.

• Email — for as long as you're on the waitlist or have an account, plus 30 days after you ask us to delete it
• Install events — 90 days, then aggregated and the row deleted
• Account data — for as long as you have an account, deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Error reports — 90 days
• Analytics — Vercel handles per their retention policy

Email gabe@melange.ai with the subject line "Delete my data." We respond within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. If you have an account, you can also delete it from your account settings (when v1.2 ships the account hub).

The Hatchery is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared data with us, email gabe@melange.ai and we will delete it.

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and update the "Last updated" date. If the change is material, we will email anyone with an account or on the waitlist.
